1- Can you briefly explain what your solution is all about? What’s unique about it?

The idea here is to establish a permanent Mars Simulation / Analog Mission which provides a closed ecosystem for a single inhabitant* on a plant-based diet.

2- What’s the story behind your company? How was the idea for this business born?

This is not meant as a business but rather a non-profit organization to prepare for a future in a changed climate and / or on Mars.

3- Which is the challenge that your solution tackles, and how do you set apart from the other companies with similar solutions?

Proving that it is possible to live in a closed ecosystem would be a major step toward colonizing Mars. It would also show that living with zero emissions is possible and comfortable.

4- What are your goals, and what’s the biggest challenge you are trying to overcome at this moment?

The traits which make me want to live in a biosphere make it also challenging to capture possible partners.

5- What advice would you give to an entrepreneur trying to pave his/her way in the space sector landscape?

I do not feel qualified to answer this question.

6- About SUN, why did you apply?

I asked ESA BIC Austria if they could help with the project and they referred me to SUN.
