Meet the founders – EsealGun

1- Can you briefly explain what your solution is all about? What’s unique about it?
The Eseal Gun is a portable, patented and battery-powered tool designed to mix and apply aerospace sealant semi-kits in a single tool more easily than current tools, and works without air hoses, pneumatic or electrical sources and avoiding arduous manual methods.
This tool allows replacing all current sealing tools (mixers and applicator guns) with a single portable tool. For these reasons, it reduces machinery costs, work time and worker fatigue, becoming a fundamental tool to simplify and improve efficiency in the aircraft sealing process.

2- What’s the story behind your company? How was the idea for this business born?
Esealgun is designed by aircraft mechanics. It was born from the knowledge of the sector to improve the needs and difficulties observed when carrying out the frequent work of sealing in aeronautical maintenance, which has not been modernized over the years as it is a very manual, conservative and specialized process.

3-Which is the challenge that your solution tackles, and how do you set apart from the other companies with similar solutions?
My challenge is to manufacture this tool in a very profitable way (with mass production or similar) so that it becomes a common tool for both manufacturers and aircraft maintenance companies, because it is much cheaper and allows to mix and apply these sealants faster and easier with a single portable tool, so it has many more advantages for all the parts over current tools and methods to perform this job.

4- What are your goals, and what’s the biggest challenge you are trying to overcome at this moment?
Obtain financing to manufacture 10-15 prototypes profitably for test with costumers, and then start with a larger scale manufacturing.

5- What advice would you give to an entrepreneur trying to pave his/her way in the space sector landscape?
Be well informed, prepared and technical research and study of aerospace regulations, and be mentalized and prepared to solve the continuous problems of each phase of undertaking an aerospace business or another type of business.

6- About SUN, why did you apply?
Because I need to obtain investment or financing to start with the first production of 5 – 10 prototypes and validate them correctly in the market and continue towards mass production to lower manufacturing costs.
